Artworks often only come together as a whole in the mind. That is why they are places of the imagination. The drawings and sculptures in this group exhibition are particularly so. Created in different times, contexts and artistic practices, they share a common aesthetic and engage in a subtle play with material, colour and form that quickens perception and the imagination.

Hybrid creatures and futuristic cityscapes meet abstract lines of light here, milled from aluminium, etched into glass or as kinetic animation.

«Imaginaries – Orte der Imagination» is a journey through time that circles around the relationship between humans and machines, nature and technology. The exhibition thus creates an atmospheric space that is as sensuous as it is political, making it possible to experience how latent fear of the future can be transformed into productive energy.
